Meet Dr. Philip J. Hamel

Doctor Philip Hamel has a vast knowledge of many different topics. He’s a unique dentist, as this is his third career. He first attended Southern Illinois University, obtaining a bachelor’s of science in automotive technology. After working in the automotive industry for several years, he found himself yearning for new challenges in a career where he could help others. This path led him to take on the arduous journey of seven additional years of schooling.

Philip graduated Cum Laude from Benedictine University, earning a degree in bachelor of health science. He then completed his studies at Midwestern University, where he earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Doctor Hamel has finally found his perfect fit working with his hands, while making a difference in people’s lives. He strives to learn the most up to date dental practices by participating in a monthly study group through the Seattle Study club, his membership with the American Equilibration Society, Spear Dental Education, American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Philip Hamel enjoys learning, which affords him the knowledge to provide the best care possible to all of his patients.

Shortly before embarking on his journey, Philip met Josephine, a real estate attorney. In the midst of his schooling, Philip and Josephine married. They were gifted with a loving, energetic son before his graduation and have now since been blessed with twin boys. He loves to spend his free time with his family and challenging himself with his different hobbies.
