Teeth Whitening

Having a beautiful smile can be as easy as our state-of-the-art whitening procedures. It can be easier than you think.

What are the details of teeth whitening and how is it done?

We have three different ways to achieve the bright smile you have always wanted. You can lighten only your upper teeth or both upper and lower, depending on how much tooth show you have when talking and smiling. We use Opalescence Products which are the developers of tooth whiting. We have been doing tooth whitening since the Opalescence patent of 1989.

  • Opalescence GO are prefilled whitening trays with a 10-15% hydrogen peroxide gel concentration. These are sold through dental offices and we will monitor your progress with starting photos and a shade analysis. Specific instructions will be provided by our Tooth Whitening Expert, Chris.
  • Custom whitening trays made in our office and delivered to you in a few days by our whitening expert, Chris. Opalescence Whitening Gel concentrations of 10, 15, or 20% are used in these custom-made trays. This is the most popular and predictable whitening method we have used since 1989. Again, we take starting photos, a shade analysis and monitor your progress to be sure you are satisfied with your result. Specific instructions will be given to you.
  • In-Office Whitening Treatment takes about 2 hours and involves meticulous isolation of your teeth and then three 20-minute applications of a highly concentrated whitening gel. We generally recommend custom-made take-home trays to maintain the In-Office result. This is the most immediate way to whiten your teeth for a special event.

Dental whiting can be used to correct tooth discoloration. Discolorations can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in whitening technology, we can offer a safe, proven method for creating a beautiful smile. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice. Whitening is low cost so always worth a try.

We are expert at knowing how tooth whiting might work for you. We will even sometimes suggest you start with over-the-counter whiting products first. All tooth whiting products, dentist prescribed or over the counter, cause some degree of temporary tooth sensitivity. All whiting products are contact time dependent. They don’t work well unless you have them on your teeth for at least 30 minutes and you whiten daily. Some patients experience severe sensitivity. We can help you minimize any discomfort caused by whiting.
